Karash is a former high school teacher with an undergraduate degree in biology and a master's degree in secondary education.  She began painting in the 1990's, doing work as a residential muralist and decorative painter.  Later she studied drawing and painting at the Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo, MD, with Walt Bartman.  Karash continues to study art in The Compass Atelier's Certificate Program taught by Glen Kessler.  For more visit www.karash.net
