COMPLETE HUMAN ANATOMY (TORSO) WITH ROBERTO OSTI
Complete Human Anatomy is a series of online workshops dedicated to a complete analysis of the structure and anatomy of the human body, and is specifically designed to provide the figurative student a strong body of knowledge to direct toward the practice of Figure Drawing.
First section: The Male and Female Torso
Week 1 - The skeleton, its structural and organic characteristics, front and ¾ view; skeletal landmarks.
Week 2 - The skeleton, male and female posterior view, differences between male and female skeleton of torso, the landmarks of the skeleton.
Week 3 - Origin and insertion of the muscles of male and female torso, front and ¾ view; main volumes of muscles torso with emphasis on lines of muscular flow of male and female.
Week 4 - Origin and insertion of the muscles of male and female torso, posterior view, main volumes of muscles torso with emphasis on lines of muscular flow of male and female.
Week 5 - Superficial muscular forms of male and female torso, front and back view.
Week 6 - External forms of the male and female torso; how to read the landmarks of the skeleton on the external forms and extrapolate the skeleton; tonal and structural rendering.
Culminating 2 day-workshop - During these two 6-hour days, the students will practice drawing from images of the male and female form to direct the material examined and studied during the 6 weeks of online learning toward the practice of Figure Drawing. In addition, each of these Culminating Workshops will feature a unique drawing material from art history (i.e. trois crayons, reductive method, graphite, charcoal, etc).
